Our Global Plan is a comprehensive funeral and repatriation policy designed for Zimbabweans living abroad.
What is it?
The Global Plan is a comprehensive funeral and repatriation policy designed for individuals living abroad. It ensures that you or your loved ones can be brought back to Zimbabwe for a dignified burial, handling everything from international repatriation paperwork to standard funeral logistics.
Who is it for?
This plan is tailored for principal members aged 18 to 64 who reside outside of Zimbabwe. Premium pricing regions include Southern Africa, Northern Africa, Europe, the UK, the Americas, Australia, and Asia.
Who is covered?
You can select cover for a single life or a family, which includes your spouse and biological children (up to 18 years old, or 23 if they are in full-time tertiary education). You can also add extended dependents, such as parents or in-laws, up to a maximum age of 75 at the time of policy inception. Please note: Dependents residing in Zimbabwe are covered under the Zimbabwe Plan, which does not include repatriation cover.
- Full Repatriation & Preparation: The policy handles critical documentation processing (including burial orders and repatriation papers), removal of the deceased to a mortuary, embalming, washing, dressing, and the provision of a casket.
- Local Logistics in Zimbabwe: Provides hearse transport to a place of burial anywhere in Zimbabwe, a bus for local mourners, use of a chapel, and necessary grave equipment (such as tents and a lowering machine).
- Grocery Allowance: Families receive a grocery allowance of USD $300 for the Classical tier and USD $500 for the Executive tier.
- Customizable Add-ons: You can upgrade your policy with optional premium benefits, including air tickets, hotel accommodation for 3 days, an executive hearse, a courtesy vehicle, and flowers.
- Waiting Periods & Enrolment: Absolutely no medical tests are required at inception. There is a short 3-month waiting period for all assured lives, and a standard 24-month waiting period for suicidal deaths.
